The agreement was signed on Tuesday, February 11, in New York, in the presence of Philbert Aaron, Dominica’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), and his Tajikistani counterpart, Jonibek Hikmat.

- Nationals of Dominica and Tajikistan holding diplomatic, official, and ordinary passports are exempt from visa requirements.
- Passport holders can enter, stay, and travel freely between the two countries for up to 90 days without a visa.
- The agreement will come into effect 30 days after both governments exchange formal notifications through diplomatic channels.
- The agreement remains valid indefinitely, facilitating travel and cooperation between the two nations.
