Morocco and Saint Kitts Agree on a Roadmap to Strengthen Cooperation Between the Two Countries

The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Denzil Douglas, held strategic talks with his Moroccan counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, to agree on a cooperation roadmap between the two countries for the period from 2024 to 2026. This was discussed on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The roadmap will contribute to supporting food security by providing fertilizers from Morocco to enhance agricultural productivity in Saint Kitts and Nevis. It will also include provisions for technical assistance in sustainability and the safe transition to renewable energy. Additionally, Morocco will offer scholarships to students from Saint Kitts and Nevis to enhance educational development and strengthen bilateral ties.

Dr. Douglas said, “This diplomatic success reflects the depth of relations between the two countries and their shared vision for a more prosperous future. It will lay the foundation for further joint efforts in the coming years.”
