New data from the European Commission in its seventh report on the visa suspension mechanism reveals important developments in Caribbean citizenship by investment programs. The report highlighted Saint Kitts and Nevis and Dominica as key countries offering these programs.
- Saint Kitts and Nevis: Issued 35,577 passports between 2015 and 2022.
- Dominica: Granted 34,596 passports between 2018 and 2022, with 9,539 passports issued in 2023 and 5,484 passports in the first half of 2024.
According to the report, five citizenship by investment programs (Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Lucia) received a total of 59,258 applications, from which more than 100,269 passports were issued by mid-2024.

The data shows that the majority of applications come from countries whose nationals require a visa to enter the European Union, including Iran, China, Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, and Lebanon.
